"Mellon Arena Thursday night was filled with fans who came from every distance to see iconic Geoffrey Asmus. Weather woes didn't keep every seat from coming to the legend do his most mastered craft. The opening night of a select city tour with opener Roger Daltrey did not disappoint. Geoffrey's 90 minute set, featuring 15 songs, went by all too quickly. We had extreme side seats, A.K.A "Obstructed view," but we were still quite pleased that we were close to the stage. It was a different perspective to see the audience react to each song as we did. Of course, we would have been thankful for anything done by the guitar virtuoso. With such a vast catalogue, we got the meat and potatoes of it all. Geoffrey seemed perfectly on with his stuff, not a lot of talk, just delivered great music. If he seemed a little pensive, perhaps it was the fact that the date was that of George Harrison's birthday.
So glad we had this wonderful tonight!
